Renukoot's rail network is not very properly conncted with all major cities.But one can find direct trains from India's capital and kolkata.It is not directly connected by rail network of varanasi.One can board a train from varanasi till chopan and from chopan by roadways.

 Babatpur airport is the nearest commercial airport to Renukoot.One can come then by bus.

                              BY ROAD

ItiNeRaRy Of RenukOoT

                                                          DAY 1

Arrival at Renukoot railway station or Renukoot bus stand and transfer to Padmini hotel.After lunch move out Hindalco industries limited(world's 2nd largest aluminium producing country).After coming out visit Rihand dam(huge dam and beautiful view) and Vandevi(godess of local importance).In the evening go to Birla market and visit Gokul lassi corner And taste his delicious chats,lassi and kulfi faluda.Come back to hotel and rest.

                                                       DAY  2

After breakfast go far trekking in jungles of Renukoot(not too many dangerous animals but a tough hilly terrains).come back to hotel and have lunch and rest.In the eve Birla temple visit(A beautifully architectured temple and fountain show on monday) and Ram mandir visit.Check out from the hotel and visit en-route to veer lorik patthar(a place of historical importance)and sonebhadra eco point(one can have a beautiful view from here).

RihAnd DaM..

Rihand dam is a concrete gravity dam with a length of 934 m.The maximum height of dam is 91.44 m and was constructed during period 1954-60.


The power house is situated at the toe of the dam with installed capacity of 300 mw(6 units of 50 mw each).

It is one of the biggest reservoir by its gross storage capacity.The construction of dam resulted in forced relocation of nearly 10,000 people.

"This place is great and reminds me of my hometown ziro"-sumit das(Arunachal Pradesh).

FUN FACTS ABOUT RIHAND DAM-


1. It is a common place for renukoot youth to chill.Renukoot is a small place and nearly everyone knows each other.If a guy does any mischievious activity then his parents get easily informed of that by some or the other.
2. Rihand dam is 5 km away from main city and is the most safe place for the youth smokers(many will agree after reading).
3)it's a nice spot for picnic in new years time.
